Orphan Spirit

It’s easy to name every excuse in the book as to why we are attracted to glitter and gold. Underneath the glitter and gold lies the truth of our situation and the pain of what we have been running from. Past hurts, old wounds, complicated grief that will not settle down in silence to heal.

Every girl dreams of the wedding day wearing that white dress, carrying the flowers, saying I do. Once the marriage takes place, you realize that marriage is the number one development system created by God and the tantrums, meltdowns, and silent trips won’t help you into becoming the person you were created to be.

Rather than looking at the glitter and gold, become still so that your heart can heal. Those things that you carry on the inside of you are magnified in marriage and holding onto distractions from the left and right won’t do. Take the time to know that a few seconds of rolling around in the bed will not fix your brokenness.

Sex does not heal.

Sex does not heal.

It makes you feel good, but sex does not heal.

It’s time to give your heart, your whole heart to your mate but you can not do that if you have not first surrendered your heart to God. He is big enough, strong enough to hold the issues of your past.

At the heart of every orphan is a desire to surrender their heart to someone.

He is waiting.
